My Favorite Subtle Highlighters | Best Products for an Everyday Glow

As much as I love a strong highlight for a night out or a special event, I’ll be the first to admit that in reality and on a day to day basis, I’m much more drawn to a lit from within, natural glow. Today I’m going to be sharing with you my favorite wearable highlighter, so if you’re looking for a barely there beam, just keep on reading.

  1. Kevyn Aucoin Candlelight: Though this costs an arm and a leg for a relatively small pan size, the Kevyn Aucoin Candlelight Powder has become an absolute staple in my everyday makeup drawer. Unlike many options on the market today, this powder doesn’t have a metallic sheen, but instead a soft focus glow that is as natural as it gets.

2. Laura Mercier Matte Baked Radiance 01: Probably my favorite highlight of all time, this option from Laura Mercier is a wonderful day to day option because of its unique versatility. With a light dusting, the Matte Baked Radiance Powder will give off a subtle sheen to the cheekbones, but can also be built up to give off a soft pearlescent glow. Believe me when I say, this is as stunning as it gets.

3. Wet n’ Wild MegaGlo Makeup Stick: On a more affordable note,it’s time to talk about my favorite cream highlighter. As we all know, cream and stick makeup is typically best for a natural look, but the formula can be hard to get just right. With it’s drier formula and ease of blendability, the Wet n Wild MegaGlo Highlight Stick is easy to apply over makeup and it’s blendability and buildability is supreme. Giving off a pinky pearly glow, this is a great option at an affordable price.

4. BareMinerals Total Invisible Glow: Last up on my list of subtle highlights is the relatively new BareMinerals Total Invisible Glow Highlight in the shade Fair to Light (creative, I know.) The way this powder works is fairly reminiscent of the Hourglass powders in that the formula is milled so finely it literally feels like satin to the touch. This baked highlighter is packed with ultra fine reflective pearls, and blends its hues to create a glistening glow.

That’s it for my favorite wearable highlighters! I hope you’ve enjoyed reading, and don’t forget to comment down below if you’ve got any recommendations for me to spend all my money on!

Have a great day,

Love, Lieve

Hi Lieve, a cheaper one that I like is Elf highlighter in Moonlight. It’s pretty and subtle. Also Benefit’s
Highbeam. There are so many out there to choose from. Thanks for writing and Becca does have a nice one 😍
