June Beauty Favorites!

nyx born to glow illuminating primer review dupe.jpg

NYX  Born to Glow Primer: With it’s lightweight consistency and pearlescent glow, I have been absolutely loving this primer for the summertime. The NYX Born to Glow Primer is perfect for giving a lit from within look, and makes you radiate without looking greasy. As much as I love this for the summer for that extra boost of dew, I know this is going to be an even bigger lifesaver in the Winter months when my skin is looking lackluster and dry.

LA Girl White Mixer: Considering I’m Casper, it can be really hard to find foundations that actually match my skintone. More often than not, the lightest shade in a range will still look too dark or orange on my complexion– that’s where this bad boy comes in. Essentially a pure white foundation, the LA Girl White Mixer is a perfect consistency for mixing and packs enough pigment to easily alter any foundation to my liking. For anybody struggling to find their perfect shade, I definitely recommend checking this out.

NYX Mineral Foundation Stick: By far one of the most natural foundations I’ve tried, I have been loving the NYX Mineral Foundation Sticks for days when I don’t want to wear makeup, but could use a tiny bit of coverage. A few swipes and a bit of blending is all it takes for this foundation to help even out your skintone. I don’t find this to look heavy in the slightest and I find that it genuinely looks like skin. Trust me when I say that this is undetectable.

NYX No Filter Powder: Can you tell I did a bit of a NYX haul recently? As a gal with dry skin, I typically try to shy away from powders as they often leave me feeling cakey. But in these warm months, powder is pretty essential in order to ensure your makeup will stay in place all day. And this bad boy is the perfect compromise. With a velvety soft texture and a finish that gives a polished yet slightly radiant look, the NYX No Filter Powder has been a saving grace.

Sephora Collection Los Cabos Contour: I will totally admit that I have a long, deep relationship with the Kevyn Aucoin Sculpting Powder that I’m not sure can ever be broken. But the Sephora Los Cabos Contour Powder is certainly managing to get between us. A fantastic option for fair skin, this neutral toned contour powder gives the illusion of a shadow without looking muddy. Watch out Kevyn!

Laura Mercier Matte Baked Radiance: UGH. I have been working up the courage to purchase a full sized Baked Radiance Powder for so long and I finally took the plunge. The Laura Mercier Matte Baked Radiance Powder in 01 has quickly and easily become my favorite highlight of all time. This is a unique option in the realm of highlighters due to the fact that it teeters between being intense and being natural. It isn’t metallic by any means, but gives you a glow that would make the sun jealous. I love how versatile this powder is, and recommend you pick it up in the shade that would work best for you.
