A Dry Girl’s Guide to Winter: The Best Drugstore Products Guaranteed to Give You Dew

Primer: NYX Born to Glow

It’s in the name guys! Out of all the dewy product claims on the drugstore market, this is the one that actually delivers. A spot on dupe for the MAC Strobe Cream, NYX’s Born to Glow is a hydrating primer with an opalescent white sheen. Underneath makeup, this primer truly help you shine!

Foundation: Neutrogena Healthy Skin Liquid Makeup

Dear Foundation Gods: Please forgive me for ever forgetting about this foundation. Back in high school when my skin was at it’s worst, I turned to the Neutrogena Healthy Skin to make my skin look… well, healthy. Once my skin cleared up, I began testing and trying out so many new foundations that I forgot how genuinely incredible this drugstore option is. With a high medium coverage, and a dewy to natural finish, the Healthy Skin Foundation is by far (in my opinion, of course) the best quality foundation at the drugstore.

Concealer: Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch Pen Concealer

PSA to all normal to oily girls- Thank your lucky stars you have not been cursed with dry under-eyes. When people speak of having dry skin, one usually thinks of pretty much every facial area other than the under-eyes. But, seeing as the eye area is the most sensitive on the face, our under-eyes need a whole lotta love in the cooler months. A fantastic option that I guarantee will not look cakey and crepey on the skin is the Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch. This is a pen concealer that, admittedly, has little coverage BUT is great at providing a glow and even at  making other concealers more blendable. Either pop this on alone or add it on top of your favorite full coverage foundation, and your concealer will blend like a dream (lumi)!

Powder: Covergirl Sensitive Skin Pressed Powder

Dun Dun Dunnnnnnn. For those of you with dry skin, I’m sure the idea of powder is frightening to the max. But sometimes you just need it- whether it be to set your under-eye concealer, or to ensure your bronzer and blush blend out smoothly- even for dry skin the right powder can work miracles. I’m going to be 100% honest here- normally I am not at all a fan of CoverGirl products- especially face products. But there’s no denying the fact that the CoverGirl Clean Sensitive Skin Pressed Powder is beyond incredible. With a decent amount of coverage and a formula that feels like silk, this powder is perfect for somebody who wants a flawless finish more so than something simply to mattify.

Milani Baked Blush

Even though these blushes already have gained a major cult following, I still feel the need to mention them as to further push those of you with dry skin to give them a go.  The Milani Baked Blushes are 100% my all time favorite drugstore options. Each shade has a glowy sheen guaranteed to perk up the look of your skin. The classic shade that everyone loves is Luminoso-  a pure peach with the slightest hint of gold. Seeing as how fair I am, this shade in particular can look a tad bit orange, so for fair ladies I recommend Corallina. All in all, if you struggle with dry skin, this blush range will be your next best friend.

Highlight: Sleek Solstice Highlighting Palette

Last up is the glow of all glow givers. Highlight time! Trying to figure out my favorite drugstore highlight was pretty much a no brainer. You  will literally be blinding aliens when you pop on the Sleek Solstice Highlighting Palette. With four versatile shades and a killer formula, this is the palette to beat.
