April Favorites

With the weather finally warming up and the sunshine slowly peaking through, April beauty has been all about warmth and glow.

I’ve been really focusing my beauty routine around smooth skin, bright cheeks, and big lashes. So if you’re wondering what products I’ve been using to achieve my Spring look, then just keep on reading!

Milani Rose Powder Blush– Coral Cove

The first product I have been absolutely loving in the month of April has been the Milani Rose Powder Blush in the shade Coral Cove. While I’m not as big a fan of the Rose Powder Blushes as I am of the Milani Baked Blushes, I absolutely swoon for this color. A true, bright coral, Coral Cove is a shade that instantly gives life back to the cheeks. I definitely think this is going to be my go to shade this coming summer.

Bobbi Brown Long Wear Gel Eyeliner– Sepia Ink

After taking a brief hiatus from winged liner, I’ve fallen back in love. Winged liner used to be my everyday look, but I recently realized that I find liner to often close off my eyes and make them look far smaller than they actually are. However, I have recently found that using a deep brown shade rather than a black gives a much softer look, and is far less harsh than when I used black. My favorite brown gel liner that I’ve been using basically everyday has been the Bobbi Brown Long Wear Gel Eyeliner in the shade Sepia Ink. A rich chocolatey shade, this liner stays in place all day and gives a killer wing without looking to harsh.

BareMinerals Cheek Tint Blush– Charm

Another blush I have been loving this month has been BareMinerals “Charm. Though it looks scary in the pot, this loose blush leaves an incredibly natural and blendable tint to the cheeks. A bright, hot pink, Charm is the perfect shade for a soft, feminine, Springtime look.

Stila  Huge Extreme Lash Mascara

I’m typically not a girl who strays from trusted mascaras. Because mascara can be such a personal thing, and can go very wrong very quickly, I tend to stick with what I know (such as the Maybelline Lash Sensational or the Mally Volumizing Mascara). However, after testing out the Stile Huge Extreme Lash Mascara, my lashes have found a new love. This reminds me very much of the Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara, and deserves the hype that it receives. With an hourglass shaped wand and a fiber filled formula, this mascara makes my lashes look absolutely incredible. With a coat or two my lashes are instantly fluffy and full and I truly truly love it.

Kevyn Aucoin Creamy Glow– Tresbelles

Since I’ve been going for a bit of lighter look lately, I’ve really begun to appreciate the beauty of cream products– especially cream blush. I’ve never necessarily disliked cream blush (the Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge is a total holy grail of mine) but I do usually stick to powders. However, I have been absolutely loving the Kevyn Aucoin Creamy Glow Blush in the shade Tresbelles. This is a stunning rose shade that blends out seamlessly and leaves a dewy, flushed look  to the skin. I think that this would be a perfect product for the Spring and Summer seasons, and will  give the glow that everybody wants.

NYX Butter Gloss– Creme Brulee

Another lippie I have been loving this past month has been the NYX Butter Gloss in the shade Creme Brulee. This is pretty much your standard pinky nude gloss and is perfect for an everyday basis when you want to look put together without putting in the work. There isn’t much to this product other than its fantastic formula, wide array of colors, and ease of application. A staple for any beauty lover!

Jouer Matte Moisture Tint

The last product I am going to be mentioning isn’t exactly a new product to me, but rather a rediscovered product. That is the famed Jouer Matte Moisture Tint. This is by far the best tinted moisturizer/ bb Cream I have ever used, and it deserves all the hype it gets in the beauty community. Providing a medium-full coverage and a demi matte finish, this is my number one favorite face product for the warmer seasons. The only reason I don’t use this year round is because the shade I have (Linen) is a bit dark for me, and I can’t exactly pull it off when I’m at my palest. For anybody, dry skinned or oily, who is looking for a fantastic tinted moisturizer with incredible coverage, I say skip NARS and It Cosmetics and go for this. You won’t regret it.

  1. The Milani blush looks amazing 😍 And the Bobbi Brown gel eyeliner is one of my favourite products ever! Great selection X
