My FAVORITE Spring Lip Shades!

In my eyes, March marks the ultimate end of winter and beginning of springtime flowers and sunshine. While that might not necessarily be true, March remains the time of the year where I start cracking out my favorite spring makeup products. And my favorite part of spring makeup, you ask? LIPS.

Today I’m going to be sharing with you some of my absolute favorite Spring lippies! I love this time of year because it gives you the opportunity to crack out some color and step away from the moody shades of Winter. So let’s hop right in.

First up is a new love in my life… The Maybelline Sensational Lipstick in the shade “Coral Crush”. This bright, pinky orange adds an intense vibrancy to any look, while still being relatively wearable. What I love about this shade is that it really would work on just about every skin tone. I personally am the color of paper and love the way it contrasts my skin and adds a little warmth, but I think this would be absolutely stunning on tan and deep skin tones as well. My one dislike about the sensational lipsticks is that they don’t go on as pigmented as the matte versions, and they have a very glossy finish, but with a color like this I can look past just about anything!

My next lip option is for those of you who love that baby pink lip. Too Faced “Peony” is a gorgeous soft pink that makes a statement while still being very wearable. While I’m not the biggest fan of the melted lipstick formula, I truly can’t get enough of this color. Unlike many baby pink shades, Peony is full of pigmentation is applies “full coverage” with only one swipe. This is perfect for an everyday basis, and will give you a natural yet glam glow to your daily routine.

Ahhhhh the Sephora Cream Lip Stains…. You know I had to mention at least one. If you haven’t been keeping up with my recent favorites and loves, you wouldn’t know that I have developed a concerningly intense relationship with these glorious lippies. What I love about these products are that they have a very similar texture to the NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams in that they are very whipped and airy in consistency. Unlike the NYX products though, these Sephora Lip Stains will last through pretty much anything- all without drying out your lips. And my absolute favorite colour out of the (somewhat limited) options available, is #03 Strawberry Kissed. This is an absolutely gorgeous pinky red that is probably the most wearable red I own. Because of the bright magenta/fuchsia hue, this is an absolute must have for the spring season.

Unlike the melted lipsticks, this next formula I am IN LOVE with. The NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams have long been hyped in the beauty world, and with good reason. These lippies are an uber lightweight, whipped formula that seriously packs a punch, all while being the most comfortable lip product I have ever used. And my go to option for spring? Easy- Prague. Prague is a stunning yet subtle mauvey hot pink that would suit any skin tone. I personally have very pale skin, and looooove the way this contrasts my paleness. With a bit of a merlot tinge to it, Prague will easily turn heads, while still keeping it classy. A total must for me.

My last spring lippie option has to go to the Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick in #17. This is a perfect, natural, neutral toned pink with a hint of mauve. This is a perfect choice for an everyday basis, and is incredibly comfortable and pretty much smear proof. For anybody who’s running out the door and wants to put the quickest amount of effort possible into their look, this is what I would recommend first. This is neutral enough to not stand out, but pink enough to make it look like you put a bit of thought and effort into your outfit in the morning. For anyone who loves catching those extra snooze minutes in the morning, throw on this while you’re running out the door and I promise- you’re good to go.

Have a wonderful Spring Season everyone!

-Love, Lieve
