February’s the month of love, so it only makes sense for me to have about a million makeup products I love right?!
This month has been filled to the brim with new products (which my wallet isn’t too pleased about) and I couldn’t be more excited to share with you!
Get ready to see a LOT of lippies, and a LOT of pinks (I know- I’m real original).
Maybelline Creamy Matte Lipstick “Lust for Blush”: And my new favorite lipstick formulation goes toooooooo….. The Maybelline Creamy Matte Lipsticks! I honestly cannot begin to put into words just how absurdly incredible this drugstore lippie is. This is by far one of the most long lasting, comfortable lipsticks I have ever worn and I truly can’t get enough. As for the shade I have been loving, Lust for Blush has been my go-to. A stunning rosy mauve, this color would suit any skin tone and is perfect for a wintery flush!
Milani “Bahama Beige”: Not gonna lie, this one took me for surprise. As I was aimlessly wandering the makeup aisles (as one does) I saw that Milani had released new shades in their Color Statement range. I have always considered Milani to have one of the best formulations at the drugstore (right behind Maybelline) and pretty much blew my brains out when my eyes landed on “Bahama Beige”. This is a warm, creamy brown that would be the PERFECT nude for those of you with darker skin, while for us fair ladies it acts as a killer 90’s brown. Overall, I love love love this color and can’t get enough.
Rimmel East End Snob + Bare Minerals Marvelous Moxi Rebel: My next lippie love of the month goes to, what I would consider to be, the perfect everyday “my lips but better” look. And that is a combination of the oh so raved about Rimmel Lipliner in “East End Snob” topped by my all time favorite gloss, Bare Minerals Marvelous Moxie in “Rebel”. This combo gives the most flattering pinky hue for when you want a little more “oomph” to your everyday look.
Sephora Cream Lip Stains in #13 Marvelous Mauve, #03 Strawberry Kissed, #01 Always Red: It seems like only a week ago that I had these bad boys on my “February Fawning” list. Oh wait. It basically was. Clearly restraint is not one of my strong suits. But can you blame me? The Sephora Cream Lip Stains are probably my favorite lip products of all time. Bold statement, I know. But seriously, these liquid lipsticks feel like absolutely nothing on your lips (unlike the uber matte Colourpop options), they last all day and they run at a way lower price than most liquid lippies at only $14 a piece. My favorite everyday shade is #13 Marvelous Mauve, my favorite wearable yet bold shade is #03 “Strawberry Kissed”, and my favorite bombshell shade is #01 “Always Red”. If there’s one thing you take from my blog, it should be that these. are. incredible.
NARS “Orgasm”: Yes, yes you all have permission to laugh at me for being so late on the “Orgasm” bandwagon. But hey, better late than never. NARS Orgasm is probably one of the most hyped up, well known beauty products of all time, and after putting it to the test myself, I can say that I partially agree with that. While I do love it enough to include it in this months favorites, I will also say that it is just a blush people. A pretty peachy/pink, “Orgasm” adds a stunning flush to the cheeks with a bit of a healthy sheen. Not my all time favorite, but it sure is purdy.
Bobbi Brown “Nectar”: One I prefer to Orgasm, you may ask? Bobbi Brown “Nectar”! Nectar is probably my all time favorite Winter shade due to it’s deep berry undertones and it’s matte finish. Bobbi Brown blushes (especially the matte ones) are some of my absolute favorites and are SO pigmented and blendable. If you’re looking for a new high-end blush, I highly recommend checking “Nectar” out!
Kevyn Aucoin “Candlelight” Highlight: HOLY GRAIL ALERT! We’ve all heard the rave reviews constantly surrounding the Kevyn Aucoin Sculpting Powder in Medium, but it’s highlight counterpart deserves a little love as well. “Candlelight” is an absolutely STUNNING powder that truly gives you a lit from within look. In contrast to more “extreme” highlights such as the Mary Lou Manizer from The Balm and Moonstone from Becca, “Candlelight” reeks of subtlety and sophistication. I already know this will be a forever love for me ❤
The Beauty Crop “Lighting Crew”: Sticking with the highlight theme, the next product I’m going to mention is something I received in one of my Birchbox’s but haven’t truly appreciated until this month. “Lighting Crew,” by The Beauty Crop is one of the most intense liquid highlighters I have ever found. With a pinky champagne undertone this product will literally make you visible from outer space. While it can easily be overused and overdone, by lightly tapping your beauty blender into the product and onto your face, you will instantly have that JLo glow.
Elf “Small Stipple Brush”: Though stipple brushes are usually used for blending out cream product, I have found the Elf “Small Stipple Brush” to be my new all time favorite contour brush. Because the bristles are not densely packed, but the actual brush itself is nice and small, this brush gives the most PERFECT natural contour I ever did see. This doesn’t pick up too much product, so its essentially impossible to go overboard when using this brush. If you’re looking for a new method of contouring, this is my number one suggestion.
One Love Organics “Charcoal Konjac Sponge”: My last love for this month has to go to my Charcoal Konjac Sponge from One Love Organics. When it comes to skincare, you have to find the silver lining between not enough and too much. This (adorable) sponge is made out of all natural plant fibers and is sure to give an extra oomph to your cleanser. Gentle enough for everyday use, this sponge perfectly exfoliates the skin without completely stripping it. All in all, I absolutely ❤ it!
That’s it for my February Favorites everyone! I hope you enjoyed, and don’t forget to let me know what you guys have been loving as well!
Have a wonderful day,
